Linda Marie Chisenhall Laughinghouse, age 66, died peacefully on September 27, 2013, at Snug Harbor on Nelson Bay in Sea Level, following a period of declining health.  Born November 19, 1946 in Wake County, she was a daughter of Mittie Kelly Chisenhall of Raleigh and Sea Level and the late Jackson Lee Chisenhall and was preceded in death by a son, Eric Lee Laughinghouse her and brother, Buck Chisenhall.  Linda was a member of the first freshman class to graduate from Enloe High School in Raleigh and attended Peace College.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband of 41 years, William Laughinghouse Jr. of Smithfield; son, William 'Will' Laughinghouse III and his fiancee Megan Ramer of Wilmington; brother, Ronald Lee Chisenhall and wife Mary B. of Otway; sister, Debra Tachau and husband Rob of Albuquerque, NM; and granddogs Rusty, Hallie, and Loc.
