I have seen Rick many times over the years and have yet to see him without a smile on his face...no matter how he may have been feeling.  I just hope that he will now rest in peace and that when I leave this earth people can say the same of me.  He was a true friend and will always be a part of my great memories..

Ricky was my mailman when i lived in Cary. He always had a smile & had time to stop & talk. Have not seen him since the reunion in the 80's at Sisters. He was the same old Ricky . Rest in Peace-We will be together one day.

Starr thank you so much for posting this. It helps me feel like I was there a little bit. Wish I could have been. Sad but beautiful. RIP Ricky. Thank you for your service to our country.

Sorry to hear the news about Rick. I spent many years playing ball with him, he was also one heck of a basketball player; one of the most natural athletes I ever knew. He was an even better person, he will be missed by all of us. Ed Fogg

As Don said, Ricky was always smiling. This is a photo of the time he asked my daughter to give him a piggy back ride. A good way to remember him.
